Sonali Mehta joins Gupta Wessler as a fellow between her clerkships with Judge Toby Heytens of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and Judge John Bates of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. During law school, Sonali worked for the ACLU Women’s Rights Project, Protect Democracy, the Appellate Section of the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice, and Public Justice’s Student Civil Rights Project, completing more than 1,000 hours of pro bono service. Sonali also previously worked with Gupta Wessler as a student in Harvard Law School’s Supreme Court Litigation Clinic. Sonali has won several mock trial national championships, at both the collegiate and law school level. Sonali graduated from Harvard Law School in 2024 and Duke University in 2020.
